It's been quite some time but Nora and I are back to our letter lessons!! I felt bad about leaving them for so long but things have been busy with little Claire here. It feels good to be back on track now. Thanks to some great suggestions, we are learning about the jungle. We made paper bag frogs, monkeys and lions too. Nora had fun coloring them and then showing them off to her little sister. I had fun making paper bag animals again. I don't think I've done that since I was a kid :)

Here is a collection of my latest completed projects. These were all stitched up while waiting for my baby to make her debut in the world :) The first is a crocheted cup caddy I stitched up to hold my hooks and needles. It's actually a metal tea container that is now covered with yarn. The second is a lion that I made for baby Claire. She's got a birthday in mid August, so that makes her a Leo. I couldn't resist this cute pattern when I saw it in a magazine! The third project pictured here is a crocheted baby hat that I made for a friend's baby shower. It just so happens that little girl made her debut into the world today :) I can't wait to meet her and to see her in this cute little hat!
I also found an adorable pattern for a Halloween costume the other day. I can't wait to share it with you when I'm done.
I'd like to take a moment to rave about Nora and what a great big sister she's become. When I was pregnant I really had my doubts. Sure, she loved the baby when she was in my belly, but I thought that would all change after we brought her home. After all, Nora was our one and only for 2 1/2 years. I wasn't sure how she was going to handle things. But ever since we brought Claire home, Nora has just loved her to pieces. She's always wanting to hold her and help change her and just be with her in general. It is so incredibly sweet :) I'm so very proud of my big little girl. She continues to impress me every day!!
